First Cut: Lee Mangles V Luke Rhodes

Lee Mangles (Silversmiths) will take on Luke Rhodes (Halifax Hall) for a place in the semi-final on 28th September.
This should be a night of hot competition as Lee returns to the competition for his fourth year to fight for the title, and Luke is in his first year thirsty for success. We’ve seen some highly creative dishes from Lee in the past few years and this year he’s more determined than ever, meanwhile Luke has learnt his craft under the expert eye of Joe Berry – Sheffield’s own Masterchef of Great Britain. The gloves are off!
Both chefs are busily working away planning their menus to dazzle you on the night, and we’re expecting culinary masterpieces from both kitchens. Each one will be using high welfare Whirlow produce grown in our fields and hand picked or butchered right next door to the venue on the night, we’re eager to see who will showcase our food in the most creative way for our diners. During the evening we will ask for your votes on each course and our expert judging panel will share their feedback with you at the end of the night…will your choice concur with theirs?
